From the time that your tenant initiates his/her rent payment to when the funds are transferred into your account, the process can take up to 5 business days, depending on your tenant’s bank processing time and your bank’s processing time. Typically, the larger national banks are faster.

Keep in mind that if your tenant makes a payment after the bank closes, it’s a “next-day” transaction. If your tenant makes the payment over the weekend when banks are not open, the payment is processed on the next business day. Be mindful of bank holidays and weekends when you calculate the number of days.
